Looking to try archery in the UK? Contact Targeting Archery for an array of recreational options, perfect for newcomers or those just wanting a fun day out.
Nicki, the organiser, has set up Archery Have-a-Go events, archery parties, and team bonding activities to make your archery experience enjoyable and memorable. With a licensed County Level Archery GB Coach, sessions are available at various clubs, with the Yorkshire Archery Squad, and even alongside World Class Programme Coaches. Special attention is given to coaching injured ex-service personnel, many of whom have gone on to achieve international success.
Before joining an archery club, you’ll need to complete an Archery Beginners Course. Targeting Archery offers multiple courses throughout the year, catering to juniors, adults, and disabled individuals. Everything you need, including equipment, is provided, and you’ll leave with an archery certificate.
If you’re keen to just dip your toes in, Nicki runs Taster and Come-and-Shoot sessions on Tuesday afternoons for both juniors and adults. Learn the basics in a Taster session and then move on to the more in-depth Come-and-Shoot sessions. For those ready to dive deeper, the Beginners' Courses are the next step.
For large events or galas, Nicki can set up an immersive Archery Have-a-Go stall, either at the Scholes venue or your chosen location, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience.
