The founder of Tarang Dance Academy, Doctor Parul Shah, is a passionate kathak dancer who received her initial training in India under the guidance of Guru P. Rashmi Raj from the Jaipur Gharana. After pursuing her medicine degree and relocating to Sydney, she continued her training in kathak from various teachers in the city for several years. Notably, Parul completed her Diploma in “Natyashastra in Reference to Kathak” and is currently pursuing her Diploma in “Kathak Taal Marg” under the mentorship of renowned Tabla maestro Taalmani Pandit Mukundraj Deo.
Under Doctor Parul Shah's leadership, Tarang Dance Academy aims to introduce innovative ideas to promote interest in Indian Classical dance among the public and the new generation.
