Taradale Karate

Established in 2000, Taradale Karate in Napier offers authentic karate instruction just like in Japan. Brendan and his team provide a safe and welcoming place to start your karate journey. They focus on building confidence, helping you reach your goals, and improving your ability to work individually and with a team.

Classes are open to everyone – adults, kids, teens, mums, and dads are all welcome to try a free lesson. No matter your age or fitness level, Taradale Karate has a class that's right for you.

In 2023, they're introducing some exciting new classes. The "Elite FightFit" class is perfect if you're into competition prep, with high-intensity training and fight drills. There's also a new "Women's Only" class led by female instructors, offering a supportive space for women of all abilities.

With locations in Napier, Hastings, Taradale, Meeanee, and Havelock North, there's a class near you. The schedule includes beginner and advanced classes, junior classes for kids aged 4-8, and special sessions for teens and women.

Brendan's school prides itself on connecting students to top national and international karate organisations, including Shinkyokushin Karate New Zealand. They focus not just on karate techniques but on building a strong, supportive community.
