About
Hey sports community,
Just a heads up from your local organiser, Sandra, about the Taoist Tai Chi Society of NZ. This non-profit outfit is based right here in Rotorua at 1192 Eruera Street. Sandra's mission is to get everyone moving and enjoying the art of Taoist Tai Chi.
They've got intro sessions for newbies on:
- Tuesdays from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm
- Thursdays from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm
- Saturdays from 9:00 am to 10:00 am
- Mondays from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm
Once you've got the hang of it, you can join the continuing sessions:
- Wednesdays from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm
- Thursdays from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm
- Saturdays from 10:00 am to 11:00 am
- Wednesdays from 10:00 am to 11:00 am
- Tuesdays from 10:00 am to 11:30 am
Sandra's crew is part of a global group with roots going back to the teachings of Master Moy Lin Shin. They're all about sharing the 108 move set of tai chi he created.
Everyone's welcome, whatever your age or fitness level. Beyond getting stronger and more flexible, you might just find a bit of calm and balance in your life. Plus, it’s been pretty helpful for those dealing with health issues like Parkinson's.
Since they’re a charity, the society aims to keep classes affordable, but they do count on members and volunteers to keep everything running smoothly.
For more info on Taoist Tai Chi, session timings, and other details, check out their website or give them a ring.
Cheers,
