Tango Cheshire

Mike here just wanted to give everyone a quick update on Tango Cheshire. Based in Wilmslow, the school’s been around since 2003, spreading the love for Argentinian Tango all over East Cheshire.

Mike and Leander, who run the show, have loads of experience and are all about sharing their passion for Tango. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned dancer, they’ve got something for you with their classes, workshops, and events. Their weekly sessions happen every Thursday and are open to everyone. They recommend hitting up the Basic Technique class and the Exploring Tango class to really level up your dance game. Plus, they encourage everyone to try out both the leader and follower roles—great for your overall development.

For those wanting a bit more tailored learning, Tango Cheshire offers private lessons to focus on your specific needs. These can be scheduled during the day, evenings, or weekends.

They also put on milongas and balls, giving dancers a chance to show off their skills and enjoy a fun night out. The first milonga of 2024 is on Thursday, January 4th. These events are fantastic for meeting new people and having a laugh while dancing.

Tango is famous for being sophisticated and sensual, with rich roots in Buenos Aires. It’s an improvised social dance that’s both challenging and super satisfying. More than that, it’s a brilliant way to bring people together and build a sense of community.

Tango Cheshire isn’t just about dance; it's also a great place to make friends and become part of the larger Tango community. They’ve got strong links with other Tango groups across the North West and the UK.

For anyone looking to start their Argentine Tango journey, they have a Basic Technique course starting on January 11th, 2024. This one's for those who’ve got some Tango experience and want to get back into it.
