Tamarama SLSC

Tamarama SLSC, located between Bondi and Bronte, is a surf lifesaving club that strives to keep its community safe. Known as one of Australia's most dangerous patrolled beaches, Tamarama Beach attracts surfers, bodyboarders, and swimmers who enjoy its peaceful atmosphere. The beach is especially loved by local residents who are keen on keeping this hidden gem a secret.

Tamarama SLSC is composed of dedicated teams of volunteer lifesavers who patrol the beach on summer weekends from October to April. With a proud safety record, the club's approximately 160 active members work together to ensure the beach is safely patrolled. Members undergo continuous training to upgrade their skills and physical condition, guaranteeing the highest level of safety for beachgoers.

Various activities are offered at the club, including IRB (Inflatable Rescue Boat) operations, the Tamarama Ocean Swim Squad (TOSS), and lifesaving training and competition. These activities not only contribute to a sense of community within the club but also provide opportunities for members to improve their lifesaving skills.

Located on the North side of Tamarama Beach, the club's newly renovated clubhouse offers spectacular views of the surf and coastline. Loyal members cherish the club's charm and warmly welcome new members to join their community. Additionally, members from other surf lifesaving clubs are encouraged to transfer to Tamarama SLSC, further fostering a diverse and inclusive atmosphere.

Currently, the club is undergoing renovations to rectify defects and improve various areas of the clubhouse. Works on the faade, subfloor areas, roof, and amenities are currently underway, with an expected completion date in June 2024. These renovations aim to enhance the overall experience for members and visitors to the club.
