Founded by Henry Ho, “TaiChi Brush Work” is a prestigious martial arts school located in Markham, Ontario. Henry Ho is not only the founder of this school but also the founder of “Mo'Dao Ink Creatives”, an association that merges contemporary ink and wash art. He is a respected figure in the Chinese art community, serving as a member of the Chinese art advisory committee of the Art Gallery of Markham and as a consultant for the Chinese Brush Art Association of Canada.
Henry Ho was born in Hong Kong in 1954 and moved to Canada as an artist immigrant in 1988. With 40 years of experience in practising Qi Gong and Tai Chi Chuan, he is a skilled art teacher and Qi Gong instructor in Toronto. Henry's art utilizes ancient Chinese brushwork as its main language, blending various art forms such as contemporary Chinese calligraphy, figurative and abstract brush work, installation art, action painting performance art, video art, and multimedia interactive musical performances.
In recognition of his outstanding contributions to the art world, Henry Ho received “The 60 Masters of Contemporary Art Award” in 2018 from the Museum of Art and Design in New York, presented by Art Tour International Magazine. He has also received numerous other awards throughout his career, including the “Golden Award” for Best Publication of Art from the Hong Kong Urban Council in 1989.
