SZM Strážky

Welcome to SZM Strážky, a soccer-futsal club located in Spišská Belá-Strážky. Founded on July 25, 2021, by Alex Blažkovič, SZM Strážky has a rich history of competition and community involvement. Although not a member of the Slovak Football Association (SFZ), the club has made its mark on the local football scene. Originally established in 1990, SZM Strážky has experienced significant success, including promotions to higher divisions and victories in friendly matches against clubs from East Germany.

One of the most memorable moments in the club's history was winning second place in the Christmas futsal tournament of fantasy teams, as well as in the Spišská Belá Cup of the town's mayor. The club has also been actively involved in the local community, organizing soccer matches that have become cherished traditions in Strážky. The annual Strážky Cup, which features teams of married and single men, has become a popular event, attracting participants and spectators alike.

In 2018, the tradition of the Strážky Cup expanded to include a women's penalty shootout competition, further showcasing the inclusive and community-driven nature of SZM Strážky. In 2021, the club was reborn under the leadership of Alex Blažkovič, who serves as the president, manager, coach, and an active player. SZM Strážky continues to bring together football enthusiasts in Spišská Belá-Strážky, fostering a spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie.
