Symmetry Gymnastics Club, located in Chatham, is a charity-based club that offers gymnastics sessions for individuals of all ages and abilities across a range of disciplines. Established six years ago, Symmetry Gymnastics Club has built a reputation for offering a variety of competitive and non-competitive classes. The club boasts fully qualified coaches, coaching assistants, and volunteers, all of whom have undergone DBS checks. In addition, Symmetry Gymnastics Club is fully affiliated and insured through British Gymnastics, ensuring the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

At Symmetry Gymnastics Club, the goal is to make exercise enjoyable for children. The safe and stimulating environment created by the coaches promotes not only physical development, but also teamwork, dedication, and persistence. The club aims to help every child achieve their personal success, both in and out of the gym.

The club offers a range of classes and programmes to suit the needs of different age groups and skill levels. For little ones aged 3 months to 5 years old, there are preschool and infant sessions that focus on developing coordination, strength, and confidence through age-appropriate activities. These sessions not only improve gross motor skills and hand-eye coordination, but also stimulate cognitive development through playful activities.

Recreational sessions are available for children who want to leap, roll, and tumble into a gymnastics movement session. Led by experienced coaches, these fun weekly classes aim to build confidence, friendship, and inspire progress and development. The unique awards system encourages children to strive for improvement and achievement. These classes cater to a range of ages and abilities, and also serve as preparation for possible selection into the Acrobatics or Tumbling Competition squads.

Symmetry Gymnastics Club also offers specialised squads for those interested in competitive gymnastics. The Acrobatics Squad, consisting of pairs or groups, competes regionally, nationally, and internationally. Gymnasts in this squad perform routines set to music that showcase balance and dynamic skills. Training starts at 6 hours a week and progresses from there.

The Tumbling Squad focuses on dynamic reactions, spatial awareness, coordination, power, strength, and courage. Tumbling skills may last only a few seconds, but they require years of hard work and dedication. The Tumbling Squad is perfect for those interested in mastering this discipline.
