Welcome to Sydney Lions Soccer Academy, located in Balmain, Sydney. At Sydney Lions, children have the opportunity to learn new skills, make new friends, feel accomplished, and realise their sporting potential. Whether your child is just starting out or already has a passion for soccer, we have sessions and classes suitable for ages 18 months to 16 years.
Our mission at Sydney Lions is to provide children in Sydney with access to a fun and welcoming environment where they can learn and enjoy the game of soccer while maximising their full sporting potential. We believe in the power of sports to teach valuable life skills such as teamwork, dedication, and perseverance.
Our academy offers a variety of sessions and training programmes tailored to different age groups. For our youngest players, we have Mini Lions sessions designed for ages 18 months to 2 years, where they can develop their coordination and motor skills in a safe and supportive environment. As they grow, they can progress to the Mini Lions sessions for ages 2. 5-3 and ages 3.
5-5, where they will continue to build their skills and confidence.
For older children, we offer academy training programmes for ages 5-16. Our Under 7s and Under 9s programmes focus on developing fundamental skills and introducing tactical elements of the game. As players progress through our academy, they will have the opportunity to refine their skills, improve their fitness, and compete at a higher level.
We have multiple training locations throughout Sydney, including Pyrmont, Wentworth Park, Alexandria, Balmain, Redfern, and Marrickville. Each location offers a range of training times to accommodate busy schedules. Our sessions are led by experienced and qualified coaches who are passionate about soccer and dedicated to helping your child reach their full potential.
