Join TasSwing on Wednesday nights at the Polish Hall in New Town for exciting beginner and intermediate swing dancing classes. Get ready to bust a move and immerse yourself in the lively world of lindy hop and other swing dances. You'll find us at 20 New Town Rd, and the entrance is through the grand doors on Clare St.
Our beginner swingers class is open for anyone to join at any point throughout the year. We start from the basics, teaching you the foundation footwork that will pave the way for new variations and spins. It's never too late to jump right in and get your swing on!
For those looking to level up their swing skills, our Building Blocks (intermediate) classes sometimes run as a series of sessions for a whole month. Keep an eye on our Facebook page or sign up for our newsletter to stay in the loop on what exciting moves and techniques we'll be covering each week.
The classes are drop-in, so no need to fret about committing to a long-term commitment. We start from scratch at 7:00 pm for beginners and kick things up a notch at 8:00 pm for our intermediate swingers. Each class is priced at a reasonable $15, or you can save by joining both classes on the same night for just $25. It's entirely up to you!
Don't worry if you're flying solo – we change partners throughout the class, so you'll have the chance to dance with different folks and make new friends. Just remember to wear comfortable clothing and flat shoes to ensure you can dance the night away without any restrictions.
