Hi All,

Bill here, welcoming you to Swindon Manor Indoor Bowls Club! Some of you might recall it as the Swindon Oasis Indoor Bowls Club. We kicked off back in 2012 when the Oasis Leisure Centre decided to drop indoor bowls from their renovation plans. That didn’t stop us, though. Thanks to the hard work of the Oasis bowls committee and Swindon Borough Council, we found our new home over at Cheney Manor Industrial site, refitting it to include four proper rinks. In October 2012, we opened our doors to our new club.

Our club is exclusive to members and thrives on everyone mucking in. For the 2023/24 season, membership is set at £25 a year, with snooker membership at £13 a year. We also offer social and junior memberships for just £6 a year. If you’re a newcomer or looking to pick up some tips, swing by one of our coaching sessions. They’re on Mondays and Thursdays from 12-2 pm, and Tuesday nights from 8-10 pm during league season. At just £3 per two-hour session, our qualified coaches will guide you through the ropes, and experienced bowlers can get help too if they need it.

We've got four rinks with new green carpeting, all regulation size for County and other matches. The place is bright and airy — a great spot for a good game of bowls. There's seating at one end of all the rinks, perfect for watching games with a drink from our kitchen or fully licenced bar. And if you fancy a bit more relaxed vibe, we've got a lovely lounge area behind a low wall, just right for a chat before or after your matches.

Swindon Manor IBC provides everything you need to enjoy your time here. There’s a spacious lounge away from the rinks for socialising, and you can enjoy a variety of drinks at our licenced bar. The kitchen is also there for hot beverages. For you snooker fans, we’ve got two full-size tables separated by a low wall and trellis. They’re available at just £3 per hour for registered members.

We’ve also sorted changing rooms for both men and women, adding to your comfort. There’s a large room available for hire for bowls-related activities, meetings, or even just to catch up on the telly.
