Register: We welcome swimmers of all levels and abilities to join our squad. To ensure that we can provide the best experience for each swimmer, we ask new potential squad members to come and complete a trial swim with us. This trial swim is free of charge and allows us to assess your swimming ability and assign you to the appropriate lane, day, and time. Returning swimmers can also register and update their details online.
Squad Details: Our squads are designed for adults who are serious about staying fit through swimming. Whether you have aspirations to compete in triathlons, participate in regular ocean swims, or simply want to challenge yourself and improve your swimming skills with like-minded individuals, Swim Squads Newmarket is the perfect place for you. Our swimmers range in age from 21 to mid 80s, creating a diverse and supportive team environment.
We prioritise effective communication, teamwork, and mutual respect among our squad members. Our training sessions focus on a combination of aerobic development and technique enhancement through drills. We structure our sessions according to the goals and needs of the majority of our squad, adjusting the focus as necessary throughout the season. On average, swimmers cover up to 3200m in a one-hour session, but the distance may vary based on individual fitness levels and session objectives.
Our session schedule is designed to accommodate different lifestyles and preferences. Swimmers generally participate in sessions on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, or Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. We offer session times at 6am, 7am, and 8am to ensure flexibility and convenience for our squad members. This structure also allows for better lane flow, as swimmers in each session get to know one another and swim at a similar pace.
