Swimnation is a privately owned swimming pool located in Huddersfield, offering a range of swimming lessons and classes for individuals of all ages. Owned by Janette Walker, who has over 20 years of experience running successful nurseries in Huddersfield, Swimnation aims to provide a high-quality swimming experience to both children and adults.

The swimming pool at Swimnation is purpose-built and set in private grounds, providing a tranquil and safe environment for swimming. Ample free parking is available for the convenience of guests. The pool is open for business seven days a week, ensuring flexibility for individuals to attend swimming sessions at their convenience.

Swimnation offers a variety of swimming lessons to cater to different age groups and skill levels. Children can participate in either group lessons or individual lessons, with the option to work through the Swimming Teacher's Association (STA) International Learn to Swim series. Group lessons are limited to a maximum of 8 children, ensuring personalised attention and effective learning. Beginners' classes have two teachers in the water, while experienced swimmers have one teacher.

In addition to children's lessons, Swimnation also offers parent and toddler swimming lessons. These classes provide an opportunity for one-on-one bonding time between parents and children, starting from 3 months of age. The lessons focus on building water confidence and developing natural swimming skills. Each parent and toddler swimming class consists of no more than 6 participants, ensuring a supportive and responsive learning environment.

All swimming teachers at Swimnation are qualified and DBS cleared by either the Swimming Teacher's Association (STA) or the Amateur Swimming Association (ASA). The pool itself measures 10m × 5m, with a depth of 1. 175m throughout. The facility also includes fully equipped male and female changing rooms, as well as a spacious viewing area with comfortable seating for parents to watch and relax while their children are swimming.

The cost for children's swimming lessons is 10. 00 per lesson, payable in advance in blocks of 10 weeks. Private hires of the pool are also available during school holidays for registered swimmers and their families, at a cost of 20 for 30 minutes.

During these private hire sessions, a registered lifeguard will be on duty, and the pool will be exclusively reserved for the hiring family. Pool toys, floats, and swim aids are available for use during private hires.
