Swimming with Sabina Stingray

Swimtime Stockport (Village Gym Cheadle) is excited to invite all swimming enthusiasts to our upcoming event, Swimming with Sabina Stingray! This program, offered by Swimtime, is designed to provide swimmers with a comprehensive 2-stage swimming experience.

Let's dive into the details of this fantastic event! Did you know that stingrays, like our very own Sabina, love spending their time camouflaged in the sand? They also have a taste for plankton, crabs, snails, and oysters! Fascinating, isn't it?

During Stage 1 of the program, swimmers will have the opportunity to learn a variety of essential swimming techniques. From warming up with exercises to mastering arm and leg movements for front crawl, back crawl, breaststroke, and butterfly. They will also get the chance to perfect their individual starts, turns, and finishes, as well as learn important lifesaving strokes and techniques. Additionally, Stage 1 will cover submerging, diving, non-contact rescue techniques, and casualty care. Safety is of utmost importance in this stage!

Moving on to Stage 2, swimmers will further enhance their skills by focusing on alternating arm and leg movements for front crawl, back crawl, and breaststroke. The program also includes warm-up exercises and movement skills for the butterfly stroke. Rest assured, Stage 2 will build upon the foundations laid in Stage 1, reinforcing the previous learnings and ensuring continued progress.
