The Hillston Swim Club, a Para Swimming club located in Carrathool Shire Council, is excited to announce the upcoming local Para Swimming event. Calling all interested players, this is an event you don't want to miss!
But before we dive into the details of the event, let's talk about the swimming pools in Hillston and Goolgowi. They are now officially open for the season, offering a refreshing escape from the summer heat. While the pools will operate unsupervised, there will be supervised hours on weekends and public holidays starting from 12.30pm. So, you can enjoy your swim with peace of mind.
If you're planning to make the most of the swimming season, you can purchase season passes from the Hillston Council Office or Hillston Caravan Park. For those in Goolgowi, passes are available at the Goolgowi Council Office or Goolgowi Pool during the supervised hours. However, if you prefer single entry passes, you can get them from the Hillston Caravan Park or the Goolgowi Council Office during office hours, or simply grab them at the pool during supervised hours.
In case you need more information or have any questions, don't hesitate to contact the Council on 02 6965 1900. They'll be more than happy to assist you with any queries you may have.
Now, let's talk about the operating hours for the Hillston and Goolgowi pools, shall we? From Monday to Friday, the pools will be open from 6.00am to 8.00pm. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, you can enjoy a swim starting from 12.00pm. And on weekends and public holidays, the pools will be ready for some water splashing from 7.30am onwards. Remember, during these hours, there will be supervision to ensure everyone's safety.
It's important to note that on Thursdays during the school term, the pool will be closed to the public from 5pm. This is due to the operation of the Hillston Swim Club, which regularly hosts local swim club events during school terms. Additionally, there may be periods when the pool is unavailable to the public for swimming lessons. Don't worry, these dates and times will be clearly advertised at the entrance of the pool, so you won't miss out on a chance to take a dip.
Now, let's talk fees. The entry fees for the pools are as follows:
- For a family (including a child up to 18 years & full-time students), a season ticket costs $140.00.
- If you're an individual looking for a season ticket, it's priced at $70.00.
- The entry fee for individuals aged 19 years and over is $3.50, while for those aged 2–18 years, it's $2.00.
- Children under 2 years can swim for free, and seniors (over 55 years) and non-swimmers pay a nominal fee of $2.00.
Rest assured, the Council takes great care in operating and maintaining the pools. The pool season will run from 4th November 2023 to 30th March 2024, giving you ample time to enjoy the water. However, please keep an eye out for any short-notice amendments to the operating hours. The Council will do their best to inform pool users of any changes through their website and Facebook page.
Before you head to the pools, there are a few general conditions of entry that you should be aware of. Firstly, no alcohol or glass is allowed within the pool area or pool grounds. We want everyone to have a safe and enjoyable experience. Secondly, please ensure that toddlers are supervised by an adult at all times. Safety is our top priority. For a complete list of conditions, you can refer to the entrances of the pool complexes or ask for a pool card when purchasing your pass. Failure to abide by these conditions may result in the cancellation of a season pass without refund.
So, mark your calendars and get ready for an exciting Para Swimming event hosted by the Hillston Swim Club. Remember, this is an event for interested players, and it promises to be a thrilling experience. We can't wait to see you there!
