The Leschenault Leisure Centre is excited to announce that enrolment for swimming lessons is now open! Whether you're a beginner or looking to refine your skills, our swim program for Term 1 2024 has something for everyone. Plus, don't miss out on our holiday swim week in January 2024.
No matter your age, from little ones as young as 4 months to senior adults, our experienced instructors are ready to guide you through the water. Our program covers basic survival and performance skills, as well as advanced levels. For the little ones, we offer infant classes that focus on water familiarisation and developing flotation, mobility, and submersion skills.
If you have children between the ages of three and five, our preschool classes are perfect for teaching them the fundamentals of independent swimming, safety, and survival skills. And for school-age children, our afternoon, and Saturday classes cover the Royal Life Saving Swim and Survive Program stages one to six. They'll learn stroke development, refine freestyle, backstroke, and breaststroke, and master survival strokes and techniques.
If your child is ready to take it to the next level, we have junior squads available for stages six to nine. These squads focus on intermediate stroke development and endurance swimming while meeting the Royal Life Saving Swim and Survive program requirements. We also offer a comprehensive squad program for swimmers in Bronze, Silver, and Gold, as well as Swim Sport programs. Sessions include stroke refinement, endurance swimming, starts, turns, finishes, programming and time sets, personal best swim times, and squad challenges.
But it's not just about the swimming lessons. Infant classes start at $155 for a 10-week term, while adult classes are priced at $167. Private lessons are also available.
Please note that our holiday swim weeks may be affected by public holiday closures, so make sure to check the schedule before enrolling your child.
