Ideal for children aged four through to 11, Haden Hill Leisure Centre offers swimming lessons that are designed to develop confident and competent swimmers through fun and enjoyment. The club follows the Learn to Swim Stage 1–7 Awards, which is a national syllabus for learning to swim for primary school aged children. Each stage has clear outcomes that need to be completed in order to gain the award.
To sign up for swimming lessons, interested players can do so online or register their details to have a member of the team contact them. The lessons cost £28.00 per month (£23.12 for concessionary members), and the first payment will depend on the membership type and the number of lessons received per week.
For parents who want to be present during their child's lesson, spectator seating is available, and one parent or guardian is allowed to accompany the child. Changing rooms and lockers are also open for use, although showers may be limited during busy times.
In case parents have any questions or concerns about their child's lesson or progression, they can log onto the Home Portal to view their child's progress or email the centre for assistance. The club values open communication and aims to provide support to parents.
Additionally, the club understands that returning to lessons after a long break can be challenging. Therefore, the first lesson back is planned to introduce all pupils to their teacher, class, and any changes that have been implemented to put them at ease. The focus of the lesson will be on reintroducing confidence practices, pool rules, water safety, and fun activities to make the child's return safe, fun, and enjoyable.
So, if you're looking for swimming lessons that are not only educational but also ensure your child has a blast, be sure to join Haden Hill Leisure Centre.
