Starting from the end of February, they will be offering new baby classes for infants aged birth to 9 months. The baby program at Somerset Swim Babies is a structured and progressive 50-week course that focuses on introducing both parent and baby to basic swimming skills through fun activities such as songs, games, and toys. As babies grow into toddlers, the swimming journey continues with the toddler program, which emphasises more advanced swimming and safety skills. Using tools like woggles, floats, games, and songs, the lessons are designed to be engaging and enjoyable for the toddlers. Classes are kept small, with a maximum of 6–7 babies in each group, ensuring individual attention and a safe learning environment.

Her journey started back in 1998 when she began teaching at the British Primary School in Brussels, Belgium. In 2008, Julia completed Waterbabies training before ultimately establishing her own swim school, Somerset Swim Babies, in 2010. Her objective is to provide affordable specialist lessons that not only increase the confidence of both parents and babies but also introduce essential swimming and safety skills.

Twice a year, parents have the opportunity to capture captivating underwater pictures of their little swimmers. The price for a photo shoot is £35 per baby or toddler, with an additional £15 fee for a sibling. Do note that this fee does not include any images, which can be later purchased directly from Underwater Art one week after the photo shoot.
