Sway Bowmen Archery Club, located in Lymington within the beautiful New Forest National Park, is a target archery club with its own shooting ground. Established in 1985, the club has grown to a membership of approximately 100 individuals, ranging in age from juniors to those in their 80s. The club welcomes archers of all abilities, from beginners stepping onto the range for the first time to seasoned international competitors.
The club's shooting ground is situated on the outskirts of Sway, offering members unlimited access to a well-maintained and spacious range. In addition to outdoor shooting, Sway Bowmen also conducts indoor sessions during the winter months at Brockenhurst College. The club is proud to have acquired ownership of their shooting range, ensuring a secure and reliable training facility for members year-round.
If you are interested in joining Sway Bowmen but have no prior experience in archery, the club offers beginners courses starting in April each year. These courses are highly popular, so it is advisable to get in touch early to secure a spot. Once you have completed a beginners course, you are eligible to become a full member of the club. Established archers with current AGB membership and insurance are also welcome to shoot with Sway Bowmen, with a small fee of 5 per session for up to three sessions.
