Established in 1922, Swaffham Golf Club is located on a Norfolk Breckland Heath, just two miles from the town centre. In 2001, the club expanded from 9 to 18 holes, creating an attractive and demanding experience for all levels of players. Some new holes were designed from a mature woodland area, while others reflect the more open style of The Brecks. These holes have matured over time, blending seamlessly with the older part of the course.
The land at Swaffham Golf Club is well drained, minimising the effects of heavy rainfall and ensuring the course remains playable in most weather conditions. The only natural causes of course closure are ice, snow, and thunderstorms.
