Sutton Park Golf Course in Hull, nestled in the serene setting of mature woodland in East Yorkshire, offers a fantastic parkland course at a great price. Mark, the organiser, is keen to make the sports community aware of the brilliant opportunities available here.
The course covers 2,310 yards with 18 holes and a par 72, ensuring a fun round for golfers of all levels. To keep everyone safe, tee times are now set at 15-minute intervals, allowing for better spacing between players. Individuals can join, or groups of up to four can play together as long as they are from different households.
Due to the current guidelines, players are asked to leave flags in holes and avoid raking bunkers. A one-way system is in place for entering and exiting the course. Only one person at a time is allowed in the office, with a marked queuing system outside.
Buggies are available for hire but can only be used by members of the same household. Plus, you can make contactless payments for rentals.
Green fees are affordable, varying by season. From April to October, fees range from £14.80 for adults on weekdays to £19 on weekends and Bank Holidays. There are also specific rates for juniors, senior citizens, and during the winter months.
For those looking for flexibility, short rounds and annual golf passes are offered for adults, seniors, full-time students, and juniors.
Booking a tee time is easy and can be done online or by phone. Tee times run from 8 am to 5 pm on weekdays and Saturdays, and from 11 am to 5 pm on Sundays, every 15 minutes. Casual golfers can register and book online. Live It members can book through their accounts.
Sutton Park Golf Course is also linked with Live It, a membership that includes access to gyms, swimming pools, fitness classes, ice skating, and unlimited golf, all for £60 per month.
