Today, Suttonians Hockey Club continues to thrive, providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for players of all ages and skill levels. The club boasts a vibrant junior boys and girls section, as well as senior ladies and men's hockey sections. The senior teams compete in various leagues, with regular fixtures scheduled throughout the season.
The club's junior section participates in the Leinster League, with teams for girls and boys ranging from extreme 8 teams to under 16 squads. There are also blitz fixtures for primary school classes, offering younger players the opportunity to develop their skills in a fun and supportive setting.
Founded in 1958, Suttonians Hockey Club has a rich history that dates back to the annual past pupils versus present pupils hockey match at Santa Sabina. Originally known as Dominican Past, the club adopted the name Suttonians Hockey Club and established themselves at Suttonians Rugby Club. Over the years, the club has grown and evolved, maintaining a strong sense of community and camaraderie amongst its members.
With a dedicated group of coaches, volunteers, and supporters, Suttonians Hockey Club continues to promote the values of sportsmanship, teamwork, and passion for the game.
