Sussex Tornados Gym in Littlehampton has been running since 1998, providing a top-notch cheerleading programme overseen by Jane Williams. As a voluntary-run charity, their focus is on supporting children, youth, and young adults in the community. Sussex Tornados offer a strong cheerleading foundation and essential life skills for future growth.
With over 100 active members, from ages 4 1/2 to 28, they've built a robust athletic community. Entering their 25th season, Jane Williams highlights the gym's 10 competitive teams, which compete across the UK and internationally, giving athletes a chance to gain valuable experience.
Jane Williams ensures newcomers aren’t left out. The Cheer 4 Fun team caters to those interested in weekly cheerleading, with a pathway to join competition teams. Additional Saturday classes, 'Flyer Stretch' and 'Open Gym,' welcome everyone, not just cheerleaders, ensuring skill development for all.
Inclusivity is a priority for Jane Williams. During their 19th season, they introduced a 'Disability Cheer & Dance' team for those with special educational needs. Although currently on hold, Sussex Tornados remain dedicated to inclusivity.
For personalised training, USASF Qualified coaches are available for private sessions, providing expert guidance.
As the 2021-2022 season approaches, Jane Williams and Sussex Tornados express their gratitude to everyone who has supported them. They thank dedicated parents and other supportive teams. They wish all teams the best of luck in upcoming competitions, fostering camaraderie and sportsmanship.
