At Susan Dutton Swim School, they believe that swimming is an essential life skill and aim to not only teach children how to swim, but also to become strong and confident swimmers who are comfortable in the water. All teachers at the school are ASA qualified, ensuring that your child receives the best possible tuition to the highest standards. The school also utilises the most up-to-date teaching methods and practises available.
In the beginners' class, there are two teachers in the water to help learners build confidence, technique, and master all strokes. Once a child can swim 10m front and back without any floatation aids, they move to the first swimmers class. In this class, there is still a teacher in the water to provide assistance and ensure that each child receives individual attention.
Susan Dutton Swim School also caters to children with special needs, recognising that every child is unique and tailoring lessons to suit their specific needs. The school encourages parents to get in touch and provide more information about their child and how they can help.
Classes at Susan Dutton Swim School are held on Mondays and Thursdays. Beginners' classes take place at 4:30pm, followed by classes for advancing to ASA Gold Challenge at 6pm. The school's prices are competitive with other swim schools in the area.
Lessons are conducted at Norbreck Castle, which boasts excellent changing facilities and a warm and clean pool. Parking is conveniently available right outside the facility, and there is a comfortable viewing area for parents to observe their child's progress as they learn.
