SSPA prioritises the safety and well-being of our dancers. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have implemented certain measures to ensure everyone's safety. We kindly request that individuals showing symptoms of COVID-19 refrain from attending classes. Furthermore, individuals aged 11 and above must wear masks in communal areas and during entry and exit, unless they have a valid exemption.
Additionally, certain restrictions will remain in place to maintain a safe environment. These include social distancing during entrance and exit, the closure of the waiting room, and the removal of taped boxes (while providing boxes for personal belongings).
As a dance school, we are committed to evolving and adapting to our students' needs. We regularly update our timetable, so we encourage everyone to review the latest changes. You can find the timetable on our website.
Parents are also advised to stay informed through our parent information page, which covers important details such as annual show dates and exciting summer events.
We ask our new students to fill out the “Arrive at Dance” form, which helps us maintain safety protocols. This form is required for trial classes as well.
To ensure a smooth flow of entry and exit, we have designated a one-way entry/exit system. Please enter through the fire escape entrance and wait in the designated queue outside. Our staff will guide you inside when it is your turn.
Lastly, due to limited capacity and to minimise transmission risks, our waiting room will remain closed until further notice. Parents of younger students are allowed to accompany their child to the door before proceeding through the waiting room to the exit. Please note that individuals aged 11 and above must wear masks in these areas.
The Surrey School of Performing Arts is dedicated to providing exceptional dance training while prioritising the health and safety of our students. We will continue to monitor and follow government guidelines and will only close our doors if required.
