Welcome to Sunshine Coast Badminton Association (SCBA)! Established in 1950, SCBA is a local badminton association in Nambour that provides opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy this exciting and easy-to-learn sport.
With 4 affiliated badminton clubs covering the area from Cooroy to Caboolture, SCBA warmly welcomes new players to join their social sessions. As an affiliated association of the Queensland Badminton Association, SCBA boasts a purpose-built facility with 4 courts equipped with World Federation approved mats and LED lights, making it one of the premier badminton centres in Southeast Queensland.
At SCBA, we believe that badminton should be accessible to everyone, regardless of age, gender, culture, or economic background. Our primary goal is to promote the growth of badminton on the Sunshine Coast by organising both recreational and competitive sessions, as well as hosting interclub team events.
We also strive to foster the interest and participation of juniors and non-members in badminton through special sessions and events. Throughout the year, we organise approximately 6 Closed Team Events that have gained popularity among our members. These events are open to players who are members of one of SCBA's 4 affiliated clubs.
Located at 98 Coronation Avenue, Nambour, the Sunshine Coast Badminton Centre offers a high-standard facility for badminton enthusiasts. If you're using public transportation, you can easily reach us by taking the train to Nambour station, as the centre is just a short 15-minute walk away. When you arrive, simply look for the dirt driveway next to the bus stop opposite Stanley St.
