About

Tulloch founded the Sunset Twirlers Dance Club in Christies Beach, a small and friendly dance school dedicated to Square and Round Dancing. Located in Adelaide, South Australia, the club offers a welcoming environment for dancers of all ages and skill levels to come together and enjoy the joy and benefits of dance.

At Sunset Twirlers, dancers can participate in weekly Square Dances on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, as well as Round Dances on Sunday evenings. The Square Dances take place at the Noarlunga District Senior Citizens Club on 9 Hunt Street in Christies Beach. The Tuesday evening Square Dances focus on Mainstream levels, running from 7pm until 10pm. Led by the talented caller, Les Tulloch, the dances feature a varied selection of music, guaranteeing an enjoyable experience for all participants.

On Thursday evenings, the club offers Plus dances, which also take place at the Noarlunga District Senior Citizens Club. These dances provide an opportunity for more advanced dancers to showcase their skills and take their dancing to the next level.

For those interested in Round Dancing, Sunset Twirlers offers sessions at the Cooinda Neighbourhood Centre, located at the corner of Diagonal and Sturt Roads behind the Marion Council Offices. The Round Dancing sessions typically run on Sunday evenings from 7pm to 10pm. Participants can expect to learn and practise Phase 2 to 4 dances, guided by Les Tulloch. Whether you're a beginner or more experienced, Round Dancing at Sunset Twirlers is sure to enhance your dance repertoire.

Sunset Twirlers also hosts special events throughout the year, so be sure to check their calendar for full details. These events offer a chance for dancers to come together and celebrate their shared love for dance while creating lasting memories.

Square dancing, the club's primary focus, is not only a fun activity but also a great way to exercise both the body and the mind. Participants of all ages can enjoy the social aspects of the dance as they interact with other dancers and follow the calls of the caller. Those who are new to square dancing can visit the club's links page or search for “Square Dancing” on the internet to gain a better understanding of this enjoyable activity.

If you're interested in exploring square dancing or round dancing, Sunset Twirlers Dance Club is the perfect place to start. Contact the club for more information or attend one of their weekly dance sessions to experience the joy and camaraderie of this Australian dance community.
