Experience the excitement of the Summerland Giant's Head Run, a long-standing community event that has been a local favorite since 1982. This year marks the special 40th-anniversary celebration, featuring both a 5km and 10km run. Participants can look forward to a morning 9 am start, a change from the traditional 6 pm start, as part of a trial change for 2024. Package pick-up will be available at the Aquatic & Fitness Centre meeting room, offering chip timing, draw prizes, t-shirts for the first 400 competitors, refreshments, snacks, and a family fun zone with inflatables and activities. Children 7 years and under will receive participation ribbons, and there are change room facilities with showers on-site.
