Welcome to Summerhouse Pilates Studio, located in the beautiful village of Oxhey in Watford. At Summerhouse Pilates, clients are provided with a space to find balance, strength, and flexibility through the practise of Pilates.
Our experienced instructor, Christine, helps clients recognise patterns of stress, strain, and limitations in their bodies and enables them to move with ease, grace, and confidence. With a focus on the whole body, Pilates sessions aim to improve balance, muscle strength, and flexibility by utilising the fascial system.
The fascia, which is the connective tissue that surrounds every organ, blood vessel, bone, nerve fibre, and muscle tissue in the body, plays a crucial role in movement. Injury, immobilisation, and inflammation can lead to tissue dehydration and the fascia becoming stuck, impacting movement and causing cycles of pain and immobility. By working with the fascia, our clients can re-educate their bodies to move with ease and grace.
At Summerhouse Studio, clients of all ages and abilities are welcome. Our fully equipped studio boasts a range of spring-driven Pilates apparatus, including the Pilates Reformer, Tower, Wunda Chair, Ped-i-Pul, and other smaller equipment. We also offer home visits and bespoke classes, catering to special populations such as post and ante-natal groups, the elderly, and individuals with particular mobility needs.
In addition to in-studio classes, we also provide online classes via Zoom. These classes have a maximum of 7 participants, ensuring personalised attention and guidance.
