Welcome to Summerfields Gymnastics Club Hastings! Located in the 1066 region, our thriving gymnastics club has been serving the community since 1981. As one of the first in East Sussex to have a purpose-equipped facility, we pride ourselves on providing a top-notch experience for all our members.
Our facility features a sprung floor, balance beams, vaults, asymmetric bars, and a foam pit. We have recently installed a specialist tumbling track, adding an exciting dimension to our gymnastics activities.
At Summerfields Gymnastics Club, we offer a range of classes to cater to all ages and abilities. Our under five's classes, including Baby Gym sessions, provide a fun and safe environment for our youngest aspiring gymnasts. For preschoolers, we have specially designed classes to help them develop their skills.
Our general gymnastics classes are suitable for children aged five and upwards, at all levels of ability. We follow the ethos of “learning through fun,” allowing children to make the most of our equipment. Our club is affiliated with British Gymnastics, and we work towards gaining proficiency awards and badges for our members.
For children who are ready for more advanced skills, we offer novice gymnastics classes. These two-hour sessions focus on skill development, allowing for faster progression. Gymnasts aged eight and above may also have opportunities to participate in floor and vault competitions, depending on their skill level.
Once gymnasts have mastered the novice skills and gained strength and flexibility, they can progress to our intermediate level classes. We welcome younger gymnasts who can perform the novice moves to join these groups as well. Throughout the year, intermediate level competitions are available for those looking to test their skills.

As a family-friendly club, we welcome members from all over the region, including Rye, Hawkhurst, and Tenterden. Our friendly approach and high standard of coaching have led to several generations of the same family passing through our doors.
We take pride in being one of the first clubs in Sussex to achieve British Gymnastics GymMark accreditation. This assures our members that we follow governing body guidelines and policies, including conducting DBS checks on all staff.
