The Sudbury Game and Fish Protective Association is a dedicated organization in the Sudbury Area that focuses on the conservation, health, and welfare of wildlife and resources. The club is actively involved in various projects such as fish stocking, tree planting, and the re-introduction of Elk into Ontario. Members of the club have access to an 80-acre lakefront property with amenities like a rifle range, archery ranges, nature/hiking trails, campground, wetlands, sauna, and clubhouse.
Club members enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities including the family fishing derby, annual fishpond, archery contests, rifle sighting weekends, tree planting, wildlife restoration projects, educational seminars, animal relief programs, lakes restoration and stocking, and the “becoming an outdoors woman” program. The club also hosts annual conferences and other events for members to participate in.
The Sudbury Game and Fish Protective Association is affiliated with The Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters (OFAH), and membership includes a subscription to Ontario Out of Doors magazine. Membership options include single, family, senior, senior with spouse, and individual youth memberships.
In addition to providing a range of outdoor activities for members, the club is committed to conservation efforts in the Sudbury Area. Members work together to maintain and improve the environment, fish, and wildlife in the community through various initiatives.
