Studio Kowloon

Studio Kowloon is a Tai Chi school located in Swanley, offering a modern approach to this ancient art form. Founded by May Au, Studio Kowloon aims to provide enjoyable and inspiring dance and wellbeing instruction programmes to individuals of all ages and skill levels.

With over 20 years of experience in dance education and performances, May Au is a highly accomplished dancer specialising in traditional Chinese and contemporary dance. She is also a certified Tai Chi Qigong teacher, trained by the founder of Tai Chi Qigong shibashi, Professor Housheng Lin. May combines her expertise in dance and Tai Chi to create a unique and holistic approach to movement instruction.

Studio Kowloon offers a range of classes for beginners and upwards, catering to both individuals and groups. May's goal is to use dance movements as a method of expression, allowing participants to explore their feelings without the need for traditional communication. The classes focus on enabling personal, emotional, cognitive, spiritual, physical, and social integration, encouraging the development of new movement patterns and emotional experiences.

In addition to regular classes, Studio Kowloon also offers bespoke events and workshops. These include Chinese New Year events or workshops for schools or companies, private dance, Qigong, or Tai Chi classes, dance or Tai Chi events and performances, and choreography for weddings, events, festivals, and parties. Studio Kowloon can tailor these events to meet specific needs and requirements.
