Experience a stress-less showjumping event at Sykehouse Arena on Sunday, 26th May 2024. The event is perfect for young horses, new combinations, and nervous riders who are looking for a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy their time with their horses. There will be no doubles, fillers, oxers, or planks involved, making it an ideal setting for those seeking a low-pressure environment.
For those interested, pre-entry and a drawn order are required, so make sure to have your horse's passport for spot checks of vaccinations (12-month policy). Entries will close on the Thursday before the event, with late entries available at an additional charge if space allows. Withdrawals after entries close will not be refunded.
Classes will kick off around 9:30/10:00 AM with horses or ponies allowed to compete in a maximum of three classes. From a clear round at £12.00 to heights ranging from 45cm to 85cm, there are options for all levels of riders. Rosettes will be given to all competitors in the clear round, and clears in other classes also receive rosettes.
While show dress is not mandatory, proper riding boots and a current standard riding hat are required. Faults such as knockdowns, refusals, and falling off the horse or rider will incur penalties according to the rules.
In terms of rewards, there will be no prize-giving in the ring, but rosettes will be awarded up to 6th place and can be collected on the day from the steward in the car park. The event will run under British Showjumping rules unless stated otherwise.
Remember to follow the drawn order as access to the warm-up area is limited, and entries will be checked and verified only at the lorry gate. The cafe will be open for hot food, drinks, snacks, and cakes, with cash payments accepted only. It's essential to comply with the event rules and guidelines to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all participants. So saddle up, get ready, and let's have a great time at Sykehouse Arena!
