Strathclyde Loch Sailing Club (SLSC) is a well-established Dinghy Racing and Sailing Club located in Motherwell, New Zealand. Founded in 1978, SLSC is affiliated with the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) and is recognised as an RYA Training Centre. The club is situated at Strathclyde Loch, which is part of Strathclyde Country Park, conveniently located just off the M74 at junction 6, making it easily accessible for members travelling from Glasgow. The park borders the areas of Motherwell and Hamilton, providing convenient access from local roads as well.
SLSC prides itself on offering year-round sailing opportunities. During summer, which runs from April to the end of September, members can participate in sailing activities on Sunday mornings, Wednesday evenings, and Friday mornings. In winter, from October to the end of March, sailing sessions take place on Sunday and Friday mornings.
For the upcoming 2022-23 season, SLSC is offering attractive membership packages for both existing and new members. The membership fees vary depending on the date of joining and the type of membership. The full-year membership fee ranges from $180 for adults, $265 for families, $85 for juniors, $95 for students, and $40 for associates. There are also reduced rates for joining late in the year (July-September) or for winter-only membership (October-March).

Qualified club members have the opportunity to hire Picos, Lasers, and Wayfarers at reasonable costs of 6 per person for a two-hour session. Safety is a priority at SLSC, as it is a Recognised Training Centre and follows the guidance and policies set by RYA. It is important to note that Covid-19 protocols will be in place for the foreseeable future to ensure the safety and well-being of all members.
