Welcome to Strathalbyn Bowling Club, a competitive and social lawn bowls club located in the heart of Strathalbyn Town in South Australia. Situated on the banks of the Angus River, our club offers a picturesque setting with river walks, a BBQ area, and a picnic area right in front of the lower playing greens. With the majestic St Andrews Church in the background, it's the perfect place to relax and unwind after a satisfying day of lawn bowls.
Whether you're a complete newcomer to lawn bowls or a competitive Pennant player, Strathalbyn Bowling Club welcomes all skill levels. Our club is known for its welcoming atmosphere and great club spirit, providing a space for people to enjoy the sport and foster a sense of community.
For those interested in competitive play, we are currently looking for bowlers to join our Strathalbyn Saturday Pennants teams. This is a great opportunity to challenge yourself and showcase your skills against other clubs in the area. Additionally, our club hosts various tournaments throughout the year, including our Presidents Day, which draws teams from outside the Strathalbyn area.
In addition to our competitive offerings, we also have social evenings called Night Owls. Every Wednesday evening at 6:30 PM, you can come and watch the fun unfold on the greens. It's a great way to get involved and experience the friendly and inclusive nature of our club.
If you're planning a function or event, our club facilities are available to hire for both half or full days. While we do not have a licence for BYO alcohol, we have a well-stocked bar to ensure your guests are well taken care of.
