In addition to regular club meetings, the Stratford Chess Club also meets online on chess. Com every Thursday at 19. 00 for a Swiss style 3 round tournament. This provides an opportunity for members to engage in chess games outside the physical club setting.
The club prides itself on being inclusive and welcoming to players of all abilities. Whether you are a beginner just learning the basics or a seasoned Grandmaster, there is a place for you at the Stratford Chess Club. The club offers opportunities for social chess games as well as competitive play against other chess clubs in Warwickshire and at the County level.
With approximately 20 active members, the club has a diverse range of players in terms of age, experience, and skill level. This creates a friendly and supportive environment where members can learn and improve their chess skills through friendly games and participation in tournaments.
The Stratford Chess Club participates in the Leamington and District Chess League as well as various tournaments in Warwickshire. There are also opportunities for members to represent the club in national competitions at the County level. The club organises a summer tournament for all members to enjoy throughout the year.
