With the permission of Mr and Mrs Ivan Lockett, Stratford Hills XC Entrance is hosted at Hills Farm in Stratford St Mary. This picturesque location sets the stage for an unforgettable fitness experience. The gym is proud to be in its 19th year, dedicated to raising funds for local charities.
In 2022, the Stratford Hills Horse Trials committee will once again raise funds for The Porch Project. This remarkable charity, originally started in the Church porch in Hadleigh, has grown over the years to include Sudbury and surrounding villages. Their premises in Hadleigh are a hub for youth drop-in sessions and a range of other activities. The Porch Project provides valuable services such as counselling, homework assistance, CV help, and various social activities.
They aim to support children up to their mid-twenties and offer support to young mothers before and after childbirth. The charity recently acquired a minibus to extend their facilities to the rural community.
Stratford Hills XC Entrance is conveniently located at Hills Farm, Ipswich Road, Stratford St Mary, Colchester, CO7 6NE. Situated just 200m west of the A12 between Ipswich and Colchester, the gym is easily accessible from both the north and south. Driving on the A12 from the north, simply turn off to Dedham and take the first right to rejoin the A12 to Ipswich. After rejoining the A12, turn left on the B1068 to Higham.
From the south, turn left on B1068 to Higham. The event will be clearly signposted.
