Stony Mountain Skating Club

Stony Mountain Skating Club, established in 1968, is a beloved part of the Stony Mountain community. As a proud member of Skate Canada, the club offers top-quality learn-to-skate and figure skating programs for individuals of all ages. The programs include nationally regulated CAN Skate, STAR Skate, and SYNCHRO Skate programs led by professional coaches who are NCCP trained.

Operating as a non-profit organization, Stony Mountain Skating Club heavily relies on the dedication and support of volunteers. The volunteer Executive members and committee chairs work diligently to ensure that members have a fulfilling skating season filled with fun, fitness, achievement, and friendship. Volunteers play a crucial role in the success and quality of the club, and prior experience is not necessary. It is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the recreational and competitive programs while meeting other club members and contributing to the community.

The club organizes various events throughout the year, such as the Stony on Ice competition. This event is a highlight for skaters, who are grouped by STAR or CanSkate level. Additionally, the club offers fun events alongside FreeSkate and Element events to provide a well-rounded experience for participants.
