From the Chairman, Dave Bateley, who has been playing for Stone since 1993, to the various other committee members, each individual brings their own unique skills and expertise to the club.
Jordan Garratt is the current captain of the Stone Cricket Club. Having served as vice captain for a number of years, Garratt is now leading the team on the field and is keen to lead from the front. Billy Hawkes serves as the vice captain, bringing his energy and enthusiasm to the team. With a love for Moretti, Millwall, and hitting the ball to all corners of the field, Hawkes is a valuable asset to the team.
Stone Cricket Club has a rich history in the community. Formed in 1888, the club has seen many great players and characters represent the team. To honour the club legends, trophies have been named after them, including Jim Turnbull, Roland Scott, George Matthews, and Percy Saunders. The club has also had a beloved tea-lady, Hilda Matthews, who has been preparing first-class teas for over 50 years.
