With its breathtaking views, the late Henry Longhurst rated Stinchcombe Hill Golf Club as one of the most scenic courses in Europe. The original layout of the course featured 9 holes, which opened in 1889, and was later expanded to a full 18-hole course in 1906. Renowned golf course designers Fred Hawtree and James Braid have both contributed to the redesign of the course, with the latest changes made between 1929 and 1936.
