Stretching across 6012 yards, the par 70 parkland course is just the right mix of challenge and fun. Easy to find between the A483 road and the River Severn, it’s a great spot for both locals and visitors. Being just outside the Mid-Wales market town of Newtown, it’s a go-to for golfers around.
St Giles started out at the Bryn before shifting to its current spot in 1908. Over time, it’s seen a few changes, each making the most of the landscape’s natural beauty. Golf legend Harry Vardon even had a hand in shaping it back in 1911, leaving his mark on the course.
The River Severn adds some extra excitement, especially on three holes where it comes into play. With stunning views and a calm vibe, St Giles is a spot all golfers need to check out.
