

St. F. X. Arena – Main Ice, located within the Charles V.
Keating Centre in Antigonish, is a state-of-the-art facility that serves as the home to the StFX X-Men and X-Women hockey teams. The main arena features a regulation-sized NHL ice surface with seating for approximately 1500 spectators. In addition to the main ice surface, there are three hospitality viewing suites, a VIP viewing balcony, and a private room for up to 40 people. During the off-season, the main arena can be transformed into a conference facility, hosting various events and functions.
Adjacent to the main arena is the auxiliary arena, which also features a regulation-sized NHL ice surface and is surrounded by an indoor running track. The auxiliary arena serves as a practice facility for StFX teams, as well as hosting minor hockey games and recreational skating activities. With over 40,000 square feet of total floor space between the two arenas, the Charles V. Keating Centre has hosted numerous trade shows, concerts, and major events throughout the year.
The facility boasts ten dressing rooms complete with private restrooms and showers, as well as private access to the arenas. The first floor of the Keating Centre houses classrooms, dance studios, an indoor running track, box office, Keating café, and offices for STFX Ancillary Services staff. On the second floor, there are three hospitality viewing rooms/meeting spaces, a VIP executive meeting space, and three conference rooms, providing ample space for a variety of functions and events.
