Welcome to Stevenage FC Academy, Hertfordshire's leading community football facility and home to the Stevenage Football Club Academy. Located at Shephalbury Sports Academy in Broadhall Way, Stevenage, our state-of-the-art facility offers a range of services including pitch hire, junior activities, and academy coaching.

Our facility boasts three 6-a-side pitches measuring 40m × 23m and four 5-a-side pitches measuring 30m × 20m, all equipped with the latest 3G rubber crumb surface. This surface not only looks and feels like real grass but also provides an optimal playing experience. Whether you're a casual player looking for a friendly match or part of our elite academy training, we cater to all participants. Our programmes are available for individuals aged as young as 2 years old all the way up to adulthood.

At Stevenage FC Academy, we offer a range of services and programmes to suit your needs. One such programme is our Junior Kickers course. This 10-week course is designed to introduce boys and girls aged 2, 3, and 4 to the world of football. Through fun games and activities, our experienced coaches focus on developing coordination, balance, ball movement, and self-confidence.

The sessions take place in a safe and friendly environment at Stevenage FC Academy.

The Junior Kickers programme is divided into five ability and age-related groups. Starters is for 2-year-olds who want to be introduced to football and motor skills. Beginners and Intermediates, for 3-year-olds, focus on specific football skills and incorporate relevant physical activities. Advanced and Masters, for 4-year-olds, further develop footballing skills and techniques.

The Masters group also acts as a transition to our Kids Zone football sessions.

In addition to our Saturday sessions, we also offer a Midweek group on Wednesday evenings for children aged 3 and 4. If your child is interested in joining Junior Kickers, we offer free taster sessions to give them an idea of what the programme entails. After the taster session, you can book them onto the course. It's worth noting that in 2021, 70% of participants who attended the taster session went on to sign up for the full programme.

All our participants will be under the supervision and guidance of Stevenage FC Foundation coaches. Our coaches are FA qualified, DBS checked, and first aid qualified. They have also attended the FA Safeguarding Children Workshop, ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants.

The Junior Kickers programme operates throughout the year, including during half-terms. We do plan to cancel sessions in the event of extreme weather conditions, but this is rare. Please consult our website or contact us for any updates on session cancellations.
