Stephanie McCann Physiotherapy & Pilates Port Moody is a studio in Vancouver founded by Stephanie McCann, a former Olympic athlete with a passion for helping others improve their health and well-being. Stephanie's own experience with injuries during her athletic career led her to explore various therapy techniques, ultimately leading her to combine Physiotherapy with Clinical Pilates to help her patients regain strength and restore an active lifestyle.
Stephanie offers Physiotherapy sessions that focus on detailed assessments and a variety of treatment techniques to restore mobility and assign exercises to improve stability and strength. She also provides Clinical Pilates sessions that take a holistic approach to rehabilitation, combining Pilates principles with manual therapy to address non-optimal movement patterns.
In addition to Physiotherapy and Clinical Pilates, Stephanie offers specialized sessions for individuals with scoliosis, focusing on identifying curve patterns, providing education on spinal changes, improving postural control, and maintaining corrected posture in daily activities. She also offers workshops and consultations for those looking to integrate Clinical Pilates into their practice or learn more about scoliosis management.
Stephanie's goal is to assist each of her patients in finding the right tools and techniques to work through their injuries and better understand their bodies in order to return to the activities they enjoy. Each session is one-on-one and lasts forty-five to sixty minutes, allowing ample time to address stiffness or restrictions and implement mobility techniques and exercises to improve overall mobility, strength, and stability.
