Are you the owner of St Bees Golf Club?

On our website. The policy outlines our commitment to creating a safe and inclusive environment for young golfers, as well as the procedures in place to protect their well-being.
St Bees Golf Club, situated on the West Coast of Cumbria on the shores of the Irish Sea, offers golfers a charming 9-hole course with stunning views of the Isle of Man and the Irish Sea. Although a 9-hole design, the course can be played as a challenging 18-hole round by utilising alternative tees on Holes 10-18. The tight fairways and challenging greens make every shot count, especially when the prevailing wind blows strongest.
The layout of the course takes players inland before circling back along the coastline, providing breathtaking views of St Bees Head. The 5th /14th hole, running along the cliff edge, is highly regarded as the toughest hole on the course and offers panoramic views of the Irish Sea, the Isle of Man, and St Bees Head. The 6th /15th hole runs alongside it, utilising the natural undulations of the land. The 9th /18th hole, a fantastic par 3 finishing hole, challenges golfers with its elevated teeing ground, pot bunkers, and the wind from the Irish Sea.
St Bees Golf Club prioritises the safety and well-being of its members, particularly young golfers. The club holds SafeGolf accreditation with England Golf, demonstrating its commitment to providing a safe and enjoyable golfing experience. The Children and Young People Safeguarding Policy outlines the club's dedication to creating a safe environment for children and young people participating in golf activities. It ensures that robust systems are in place to address concerns or allegations, provides training and resources for staff, volunteers, and coaches, and actively involves children and their parents/carers in decision-making processes.
