Stars Performing Arts Academy

Stars Performing Arts Academy, located in Griffith, is a dance school that offers a wide range of performing arts classes. Established in 2015, it is the only performing arts centre in Griffith that provides comprehensive instruction in Dance, Singing, Acting, and Acro.

Stars boasts state-of-the-art facilities that create a conducive learning environment for its students. Studio 1 features professional dance flooring, wall-to-wall mirrors, and an exceptional sound system. Dual heating and cooling systems ensure that students remain comfortable and safe during their classes. Studio 1 is the designated space for Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Contemporary, Ballet, Tap, and Personalised Wedding Dances.

Studio 2, on the other hand, is equipped with gymnast-grade flooring, crash mats, and springboards. This studio prioritises the safety of students as they learn stunts and tricks. Classes offered in Studio 2 include Cheerleading, Acrobatics, Swing, Tiny Tots Circus, Tiny Tots Ballet Jazz, and Tiny Tots Cheer.

Studio 3 provides a private and comfortable space for students to explore the realms of singing and acting. It is equipped with sound systems, microphones, guitars, and a keyboard. This vibrant environment encourages students to let go, be themselves, and connect deeply with the music.

One of Stars' standout features is its annual end-of-year production, where students get the opportunity to showcase their talents in dance, singing, acting, and acro. Held at the regional theatre with full costume, lighting, and music, each production is unique and personally choreographed and directed by Stars. Previous productions have included themes such as “Fight to the Finish,” “Vivid Revolution,” “Midnight Madness,” “Superheroes,” “Vintage,” “The King is Back,” “Alice in Wonderland,” “Toy Story,” “Queen,” and “007.

The founder and head choreographer of Stars Performing Arts Academy is Miss Jess. With over 25 years of experience and qualifications in Dance Teaching & Management, Training & Assessment, and Acrobatic Arts, Miss Jess is dedicated to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for students of all ages to develop a lifelong love of dance, acting, acrobatics, and singing.

Stars is an Affiliated Member of the Australian Teachers of Dance (ATOD), and all staff members hold current First Aid Certificates. The academy takes pride in its vibrant community, where talent, joy, and determination flourish.
