Stargaze Dance Academy, nestled in Egerton, Bolton, has been under the expert guidance of Miss Gemma Plumb since 2005. She’s worked with over a thousand young dancers, offering a variety of classes for children aged 2 to 18. From Imperial Classical Ballet to Zumba Kids and Cheerleading, there's something for everyone.
Gemma also organises some cracking birthday parties with themes like Princesses and Princes, Cowboys, Cheerleading, and more. They’ve even teamed up with local groups like Rainbows and Brownies. If you fancy throwing a dance-themed bash in the Egerton and Bromley Cross areas, Gemma’s your go-to.
Stargaze students have done brilliantly over the years. Several have made it to prestigious programmes and workshops with The Royal Ballet School, The Hammond, and Northern Cecchetti Classical Ballet. They've even had telly appearances on CBeebies, BBC, and Channel 4, and taken part in performances with English Youth Ballet. Plus, their ISTD exam results are top-notch.
The academy offers an array of classes suitable for both boys and girls, with some exercises specifically for boys. For the little ones (ages 2 to 4), the Prince and Princess Ballerina Class is a lovely intro to ballet, mixing technique with fairy-tale fun and props like tiaras and swords. As they grow, students move through the ISTD syllabus, developing skills in posture, balance, and discipline.
Gemma and her enthusiastic team create a supportive environment where kids can really shine and develop a lifelong love for dance. They encourage parents and children to pop in for trial sessions and discover the joy dance brings. Keep dancing, everyone!
