Starfish Swim School is dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn how to swim. Our experienced and qualified team of teachers are passionate about teaching swimming skills and water safety to children of all ages. We believe that swimming is an essential life skill that every child in New Zealand should have the opportunity to learn.

Our swim school is located on the grounds of Aidanfield Christian School in Halswell, Christchurch. We have a 20 metre four lane pool as well as a teaching pool that is 9 metres long. The water temperature is kept at a comfortable 30 degrees Celsius all year round. We offer classes for children starting from as young as 6 months old, all the way up to development squad level.

Our classes focus not only on teaching swimming skills, but also on water safety skills to ensure that children are safe in any water environment. Our teachers are highly skilled and have a strong ability to relate to children of all ages. They are committed to providing quality teaching and support to help each child progress in their swimming journey. We offer perpetual lessons, which means that our swim school operates for most of the year.

We only have a two-week break in the July school holidays and four weeks over Christmas. This allows children to continue their swimming lessons consistently, ensuring their progress is not interrupted. Our opening hours are Monday to Tuesday from 9am to 6pm, Wednesday to Friday from 11am to 5:30pm, and Saturday from 8:30am to 11:30am.
