St. Anne's Park Remote Control Car Track, also known as ORCA (On Road Circuit Association) Ireland, is located in Raheny, Dublin. Established in 1997, ORCA is Ireland's only 1/8 scale on-road circuit for remote control car racing. The club has a rich history, with some members having been involved in model car racing since the late 80s when the club used to race in the main car park of University College Dublin.
Currently, racing takes place at St. Anne's Park, Raheny, where ORCA members compete with 1/8 scale nitro machines. The GT class has become popular due to its predictable handling in all weather conditions. In addition to the GT class, there is a faster GP class, also known as 1/8 On Road, which utilises foam tyres for incredible traction, especially on dry surfaces.
ORCA has a set of rules and regulations that govern the club's activities, including rules for GT and GP classes. The club's website provides detailed information on these rules, as well as contact information for those interested in joining or learning more about ORCA.
The club hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including summer and winter rounds, as well as national and international competitions. Photos and videos of past events can be viewed on the club's website, showcasing the excitement and skill of remote control car racing at St. Anne's Park.
Whether you're a seasoned remote control car racer or a newcomer to the sport, St. Anne's Park Remote Control Car Track offers a unique and exciting racing experience in Dublin. Join ORCA and be part of a passionate community of enthusiasts dedicated to the thrill of on-road circuit racing.
